Never Stops on Two Pianos

This is really neat! Thanks to Andrew King on Facebook for sending this in and thanks to the players in the video for giving the song such a flattering arrangement. :)

Deerhunter - Carve Your Initials Into the Walls of the Night (2005, Notown Sound)

Responding to several requests I have dug up an old copy of this 2005 Deerhunter CD-R. It features only me and Moses and is very experimental in nature. This was during our "tape phase" when we would often play shows as a duo (or as a trio with colin) playing only tape machines and vocal loops.

1. Bright and Early (8:30)
2. Cicadas (3:56)
3. Rotation (8:03)
4. But I'm A Boy (6:54)
5. Three Dolphins Melting into Orange Wax (4:20)
6. Snow Dogs (2:12)
7. Dogs are Cool (3:41)
8. Homorobotic (3:54)
9. Cordless (2:05)
10. When I Taste Blood (2:53)

Recorded live to 2-track cassette machine at Moses' old house on North Ave & Ponce
"Mastered" at the Old Notown building on my dad's ancient PC using Soundforge,
Scans of all orignal artwork from the Notown Xerox Machine included.

Nite of Respite Pt. 2 Drone Show at Eyedrum - Dec. 11, 2009

From Creative Loafing:

"Tonight (Fri., Dec. 11) Respite From the Cold II billows over Eyedrum with an evening of warm ambient drones, atmospheric dirges, head-cleaning noise and various other guises of minimal aural pleasantries. There will be plenty of warm beverages on-hand to enhance the listening experience as well." - Chad Radford

The Lineup includes:
Lotus Plaza - drones, tapes, and general awesomeness
Magic Apron - quiet guitar meditations with resonant filters and soft vocal pretty
Brainworlds - guitar drones deep and wide, mind-bogglingly nice
Nomen Novum - field recordings, samples, and bleepy blippy synth terrificness
Marvelous – members of 1000 holy shards and Lid Emba with David Kirby drone with synths and percussion manipulations

live streaming drone radio from haiti

(...apparently this meant "A Charlie Brown Christmas soundtrack on repeat. - Bradford)

I went to the Eyedrum with the intention of making a recording of Lockett's show but was so impressed by all the performers that night i decided to record them all. Highly recommended dispatches from Atlanta's apparently burgeoning new wave of drone acts. (Note - Unfortunately there was a technical problem with my recording of Nomen Novum's set. It was my first attempt at using a new device and i fucked up. Great set though.)

Greetings from Barcelona

This cover of our latest single 'Rainwater Cassette Exchange' by a mysterious youtuber is fantastically superior to the original. It actually sent shivers up my spine, especially during the second verse...
